Global Success Review Magazine strongly condemns the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed the lives of 25 innocent tourists and a local resident. In a powerful display of solidarity, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, extending heartfelt condolences and reaffirming Russia’s steadfast support for India in its fight against terrorism.

During the call, President Putin stressed the importance of bringing the perpetrators and their enablers to justice, stating, “The perpetrators of this heinous act must be punished, and Russia stands with India in this battle against terrorism.”

India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) confirmed the exchange, with spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal posting on X (formerly Twitter):

“President Putin @KremlinRussia_E called PM @narendramodi and strongly condemned the terror attack in Pahalgam, India. He conveyed deepest condolences on the loss of innocent lives and expressed full support to India in the fight against terrorism.”

Putin also accepted Prime Minister Modi’s invitation to visit India later this year for the Annual India-Russia Summit, reaffirming the deep-rooted ties between the two nations.

This development arrives amid heightened diplomatic tensions, particularly after remarks by Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, who called for international involvement in the investigation. Asif suggested that Russia, China, or Western powers could form an impartial probe team to verify India’s claims, a suggestion seen by many as a deflection from Pakistan’s alleged ties to terror outfits.

The Resistance Front, a known proxy of Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), has claimed responsibility for the April 22 attack.

Despite these political undercurrents, the India-Russia strategic partnership remains strong. Even during the ongoing Ukraine conflict and global sanctions, India has continued to collaborate with Russia in areas like energy, defense, and technology.

President Putin and Prime Minister Modi share a particularly warm relationship. During Modi’s last visit to Moscow in October 2024, Putin remarked, “Our relationship is so strong that you will understand me without any translation.”

As the world watches closely, this moment underscores the growing global resolve to unite against terrorism and the enduring bond between India and Russia.
