India’s Nandini Gupta Misses Out on Top 8
India’s representative, Nandini Gupta, did not make it to the Top 8 despite being a strong contender. She had earlier fast-tracked her way into the Top 40 by winning the Miss World Top Model sub-event on May 24. Nandini, who was inspired to join the pageant world after watching Aishwarya Rai in Devdas, spoke candidly about her journey in a pre-event interview, sharing how that childhood moment sparked her dream of becoming Miss World.
Star Power and Global Glamour
The grand finale was co-hosted by Stephanie del Valle, Miss World 2016, and Indian television personality Sachiin Kumbhar. The evening dazzled with performances by Bollywood stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Ishaan Khatter, adding a touch of cinematic glamour to the event.
A distinguished panel of judges brought global credibility to the contest, including:
- Sonu Sood – Actor and philanthropist, recipient of the Miss World Humanitarian Award
- Sudha Reddy – Businesswoman and host of the Beauty With a Purpose Gala Dinner
- Caryna Terrell – Miss England 2014 and public health expert

Beyond Beauty: Redefining Success with Purpose
As she accepted the crown, Opal Suchata emphasized that success is not defined by accolades alone, but by the ability to “create a better life for others.” Through her advocacy work under Beauty with a Purpose, she aims to raise awareness about breast cancer, a cause close to her heart.
“With this title, I believe I can help amplify awareness and bring meaningful change to people’s lives,” Opal stated during her emotional victory speech.
A Celebration of Empowerment and Global Unity
The Miss World 2025 edition kicked off on May 10 and concluded with a message of empowerment, charity, cultural exchange, and global sisterhood. As the crown finds a new home in Thailand, the legacy of Miss World continues to evolve, honoring not just beauty, but resilience, compassion, and a commitment to social change.
